MIZUTAMA Dobin (Teapot: 550ml)

Dimension: 525ml (17.75fl oz) diameter: 4.53inch (11.5cm) height: 4.53inch (11.5cm)

Dobin is a style of large teapot with a handle attached at the "shoulders." Dobin is convenient for brewing a large quantity of tea for several guests, or to brew one large pot of tea to drink all day long. It is also convenient for brewing iced tea. This Dobin is also designed to brew just one cup flavorfully.

Though most Dobin have rough porcelain filter or removable basket filter, this Dobin has fine porcelain filter. So, you can brew all kinds of Japanese tea, including Sencha Fukamushi and Konacha. (In the unlikely event that you would like to filter out the small specks of Sencha Fukamushi or Konacha, we recommend you use a tea strainer.)

When choosing a Dobin, we strongly recommend Dobin having a fixed filter at the spout, not a removable mesh basket. Our Dobin has this style of fixed filter. It is impossible to brew tea flavorfully in a mesh basket because the area is so small and constrained that the tea leaves can neither open nor stretch out enough to flavor the tea.

This round shape and polka dot pattern bring a unique atmosphere. MIZUTAMA of this name means polka dot in Japanese. Navy color polka dot pattern is one of the most popular Dobin and Yunomi designs. Handle, made of natural bamboo, is the perfect finishing touch.

You also can match this with MIZUTAMA Yunomi. They are all designed to match as a set (MIZUTAMA Dobin and Yunomi Set).
This Dobin is suitable for brewing a large quantity of tea for some guests, one pot of tea for the day, or brewing just one cup flavorfully. This can brew all kinds of Japanese tea, and also convenient for brewing iced tea. Besides, this brings a unique atmosphere to your table.
