This set makes it simple to enjoy tea without a traditional teapot. The cup, tea strainer, and saucer all fit together compactly, making it perfect for a single serving or limited space.

To use, place the strainer inside the cup and add the tea leaves. Pour in hot water and cover with the saucer. After your preferred brewing time, remove the saucer, place the strainer on top of it, and enjoy your tea.

This version features the KINYO glaze, known for its subtle iridescence reminiscent of the sea cucumber’s skin. It has a glossy finish with a pinkish-purple hue that reveals a sense of depth and sophistication.

MINO Yaki

Mino Yaki is said to have originated in the Nara period (710–794), when the potter’s wheel and the Anagama kiln were introduced from the Korean Peninsula along with the techniques for producing Sueki stoneware. In the Heian period (794–1185), the production of ash-glazed pottery began, and by the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573–1600), the flourishing tea ceremony culture gave rise to famous styles such as SHINO, KISETO (yellow SETO), ORIBE, and SETOGURO (black SETO).

Directions

- You are able to wash this item in a dishwasher.
- If necessary, you may occasionally use chlorine detergent. In that case, after using the chlorine detergent, we recommend you boil this item in water to remove the chlorine smell.
- The holes in the tea strainer are relatively large.
Fine tea leaves may not be fully strained, so it is recommended to use larger leaves.
For the best flavor, we suggest using approximately 20% more tea leaves than usual.
