Review I was hesitant at first to order these Hyo Retsu crafted tea bowls. But this will be a surprise for my husband for Father?s Day on June 19th. I decided not to hesitate because already I no longer see the equally as beautiful sepia toned Yunomi matcha bowl. I know these are all very limited offerings from Hibiki-an. Tea ware has always been admired and appreciated by tea drinkers. My husband is very fond of this style glaze. The element of control to create the crackle intrigues him. It is not common to find the glaze technique so well done. The weight and dimensions and the hand is exceptional. This vessel is much nicer in person then in any photo. I have found that true with all Hibiki-an ceramics. I very much trust their e-store for high quality. The shape and the way the tea will float in the bowl will elaborate the pin cha of tea enjoyment. If you like this style glaze these bowls are will worth owning.
