A complex, layered citrus flavor, perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. The YUZU turned my afternoon gyokuro karigane into a lovely tea ceremony engaging multiple senses: the fruit smells very pleasant; dividing it into slim slivers makes you appreciate the different textures as you cut through the peel and the azuki bean filling; its yellow color complements the green tea beautifully and the citrus flavor brings out the sweeter registers of the karigane. A little of this goes a long way. |
