I have both the orange matcha sifter and this hand sifter (Chakoshi) and after using this simple hand sifter for a month now, I have to say that I prefer this one over the orange matcha sifter (which is more elaborate) for several reasons: 1. The mesh in the hand sifter is just slightly more open. This allows me to get the matcha sifted without too much friction from the Chashaku. 2. It can be washed so this can be used with different grades of matcha without any residue remaining from the previous. This is a simple, easy to use hand sifter that is functional. It doesn't have all the 'bells and whistles' as the orange matcha sifter, but sometimes all you need is a little simplicity. |
