| Review | I was looking through the various tea cups available from Hibiki-an, agonizing over which to buy. I would normally go for ones with more intricate designs, but I have to be honest, many of them cost more than I can justify spending. But as I came back to look at what was available, I found myself repeatedly drawn to these simple green cups and their attractive swirled glaze. They may not be as flashy as some of the others, but there's a simple beauty to their design. Now that I've been using them for a little while, I'm really happy with them. I can't claim to be an expert on the history of Japanese pottery, but when I look at these, they strike me as a relic of old, traditional life. |
