It's a wonderful tea, do not be afraid to experiment with brewing temperature and time. I prefer to brew this tea with lower temperature 70 Celsius and 90 to 120 seconds. There is no right or wrong here; it's just my personal preference for this tea.

As I sip this sencha I wonder if it is the same as the tea people enjoyed when Sohen Nagatani produced the first green tea, by steaming and drying the leaves, 280 years ago. I imagine all the pickers, out amongst the tea bushes in their colourful clothes, carefully sele... (more)

I found this to be milder than the Super Premium. It's an excellent tea. I would suggest using these hand picked leaves in a smoothie, after you are done making tea.

The quality and taste of this Sencha Pinnacle truly reflects its status as a carefully crafted tea of the highest order. I've had also always enjoyed the various teas offered during the Sincha harvest. All have their own unique tastes, and all are excellent. Recently m... (more)

The tea is a true delight, and it's not just about the tea, it's about the experience of enjoying it. I'm amazed at how just looking at the golden color, smelling the aroma and of course, immerse in the noble taste could transform my state immediately. Now it is my most... (more)

This sencha is a delight! It is perfectly balanced and has a subtle, smooth and refreshing flavor. It has taken me a long time to find a perfect sencha, and Hibiki-an has done it! If you're in the mood for green tea but gyokuro is too bold for you right that minute, Sen... (more)

I just received my order of Sencha Pinnacle. Truly and lovely tea, a real treat. Almost hated to open the tea as it came so beautifully packaged. The presentation was almost as good as the tea. An amazing company to deal with. Received order in 7 days from Japan.

2015 Sencha Pinnacle is of longer, less uniform cut than last year's, so not as evenly silky and beautiful. Is this because of a difference in leaf size at harvest? Optimum processing to fit this year’s profile? If anyone can tell me, I’d love to hear. This year’s dry l... (more)
