"Saemidori breed has a naturally unique, sweet and smooth taste..." Perhaps best expressed by hibiki-an's own description of the Saemidori breed, this is possibly one of the sweetest and smoothest shincha...or sencha I have ever had. It is remarkable in eve...(more)

From the 2007 harvest. This was possibly my favorite Shincha of the entire 2007 harvest. For an Asamushi (light steamed) style sencha, it was very full flavored, very vegetal. Every pot came out perfect. I promised myself, I would get this one again in 2008.

Incredible tea. Very full flavored without noticable astringency, which is quite a trick. A tremendous value that makes it a great for everyday, all day...but it is also so very good. It deserves more than 5 stars. Well done hibiki-an.
