GEKKA BIJIN means Selenicereus flower, also translated as Queen of the Night. The flower is painted elegantly, vividly, and intrepidly on the inside of this Yunomi. GEKKA BIJIN blossoms are about 7.9inch / 20cm in diameter and bloom only one night with a lovely scent, said to be like heaven. The flower symbolizes compassion, empathy and gentle grace.
The outside is colored pale green, evoking the beauty of Selenicereus leaves under moonlight.
Outside green color and inside white color is finished with brush lines, which create atmosphere.
A little rough clay modestly adds accent.
We don't usually offer pillbox-style Yunomi like those used at SUSHI restaurants, but this Yunomi are painted quite exquisitely and elegantly, so we can’t help but add them to our line. Because the capacity is rather large (225ml / 7.19fl oz), it is suitable not only to enjoy subtle flavor of high quality Japanese tea, but also to enjoy various drinks, for example, Japanese iced tea, fruit smoothie, wine or sake, or another. It depends upon your vision and preference.
