This year's offering is very good, and a personal favorite. I've been timing the second steep for 20 seconds and the third for a minute and a half.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this kyusu was made from a clay much warmer in color than depicted on the website. It pours very well, its rougher surface provides a nice tactile experience and its width allows tea leaves to spread out. This has quickly become my go...(more)

The cup I received was not as slender as depicted in the photograph, resulting in it appearing somewhat bulbous. However, this does not take anything away from its exquisite visual quality. Craftsmanship is superb, and the subtlety of the glaze is incredible.
