Review I bought this bowl as a treat for myself because II just could not resist the beautifully painted flower and grass scene and the swirl in the clay at the bottom of the bowl evokes a silent sense and feeling of Peace. I had been using the Moonflower flat bowl but decided to finally try out this lovely piece the other morning while it was still very early in the morning and slightly cool and darker than when I usually have my Matcha. I'm so glad I did! I made some Matcha on the thicker side in this bowl using my Shincha Matcha. I feel everything flowed together beautifully and deliciously, even though this flower is supposed to be for Autumn. The hieght and shape of this bowl is quite perfect. You can just tell by holding it that this was a handmade piece of art and is meant to be enjoyed not only for drinking Tea, but also for it's bouquet of wildflowers painted both inside and out visually. The cup manages to be "soft" and "warm" in both hands and garauntees a perfect Matcha Moment! As you sip your Matcha you can contemplate a specific flower, or concentrate on a certain color that catches your eye or just watch the gently painted grass strokes as they seem to sway in your Matcha. The size of this bowl makes it super easy to get the silky froth top without any worries of spillage (sometimes my flat bowl has a tendency to splash up) so you are all finished whisking in record Time and your Matcha ready to enjoy! It is True that this bowl does not allow heat to escape as easily as the flat bowl does so it may not be the best choice on a terribly hot morning/day. But, I felt very pampered as I used this lovely bowl for my Matcha from start to finish and am excited to use it more when Autumn/Fall comes closer!
