Review I received my recent order today and after deciding to try out one of the new Matcha hard candies I decided I wanted some Tea so I decided it would be the perfect Time to try out this new cup I'd also ordered. I didn't want to open my ordered Autumn Gyokuro Kuradashi Tea yet, so I thought some of the cold-brewed Houjicha Karigane would be a nice choice for an "Autumn feeling" when drinking from this cup plus I recently have been drinking A LOT of it cold-brewed recently due to the extremely low to no caffeine content when brewed that way especially because my pancreas has been inflamed and hurting a lot recently- I LOVE HIBIKI-AN for teaching us about the different brewing methods and how to not extract caffeine because there a SO many things I cannot eat when I get my pancreas issues and can basically only have a liquid diet for awhile until I'm feeling better, and then I can go back to being vegan, for the most part, although I admit that I sometimes do eat very small amounts of dairy that is in some of the special Tea Time treats sold here but never at any other Time. I'm SO GLAD AND THANKFUL that HIBIKI-AN offers Houjicha Karigane year round and then a special LE higher grade Super Premium around January because it is the ONLY other thing I can handle without pain besides organic, GMO free, no salt, no fat, vegetable broth, and water... which are the only other two things I can have when sick very badly from pancreatitis. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone at HIBIKI-AN for helping me to feel and get better because it is not an easy thing , unfortunately, for me to do! You guys are really The Best!!

So sorry for my way long intro to the cup review but now about the [Limited] MAI KARAKUSA! I love this cup!! I LOVE EVERYTHING having to do with Autumn, it's my VERY FAVORITE Season and as soon as I saw this cup I was so happy it was sold separately because I only buy yunomi usually for myself and if drinking with someone else I let them choose which cup they are feeling in their mood. (I REALLY WISH the KOBIKI TSURU KAME was sold as just one yunomi also, instead of only a pair because I really like that design, colors, and feel I get from it just from looking at the pictures you put up!!)

Anyway, this cup just screams "Autumn!!" when I see it andd I love that! The colors are perfect for the Season, the deep green is just beautiful! The floating patterns are like the falling and fluttering Autumn leaves! The feel is a rustic, vintage, warm, lovely feeling atmosphere! The feeling when touching the clay is really one that brings your mind back to the soil, the ground, Nature itself! This cup also has a certain type of "noble" feel to it when I hold it, also... like a "nostalgic/historic nobleness" feel to it I get. This cup is larger, the largest of all my yunomi, and not super thin, so it is a tad weightier than I'm used to but it is still light and should be treated gently with respect, especially due to the Artist's hard work and heart that he put into creating it. The Houjicha Karigane is delicious from this cup and I'm looking dorward to using this larger, thicker cup for more hotter Teas as it continues to get colder because I won't have a problem with any hand burning :)

I HIGHLY recommend!! The only thing I noticed was that this cup's clay seems to have that "sweating" thing happen if you rinse it under water and/or are using it like the more top tier Matcha bowls. (Like my AMAGUMO historic re-creation) so just be aware of that when using it so you don't accidentally have it slip from your hand (I rest my pinky finger under that bottom part of the cup to be on the safe side) and to also keep it out in an airy place for as long as you can to completely dry to avoid any mold that would ruin this wonderful, Autumn themed treasure, functioning piece of Art. This cup certainly does delight me, though! Thanks again!
