FUROSHIKI Gift KATAKUCHI Set includes Matcha Superior, KATAKUCHI Matcha Bowl, Bamboo Whisk, Matcha Spoon, and Hand Sifter. It is the perfect gift for anyone who wants to start enjoying Matcha. They are carefully wrapped with FUROSHIKI Japanese traditional wrapping fabric.
The FUROSHIKI wrapping fabric is of course reusable and perfect for wrapping anything from a gift to a Bento lunch box. It can also be used as a decorative wall hanging, tablecloth, scarf, and so on. It depends on your idea. The FUROSHIKI, made of high-quality cotton, is 26.77 inches (68cm) square. It is made in Kyoto, Japan.
The pattern on this FUROSHIKI, known as CHOJYUJINBUTSUGIGA, is based on a set of ink-on-paper scrolls preserved at Kozan-ji Temple in Kyoto. These scrolls humorously depict animals and people, reflecting the social conditions of the time, and are regarded as the ancestors of satirical cartoons.
Over 800 years later, the playful rabbits, monkeys, and frogs come to life on the FUROSHIKI, making it a delightful gift that is sure to spark conversation.
We recommend that you get the bamboo whisk wet just before you use it. The bamboo whisk is susceptible to dry conditions.
This is the perfect gift set for anyone looking to whisk Matcha for several people at the same time, or for those who enjoy making matcha lattes.
(Please note that each KATAKUCHI Matcha Bowl is unique due to the techniques employed by the artisan. There are natural variations in each piece.)
