KUSHIME of this name means comb line, and INKA means stamped flower in Japanese. This Yunomi features a natural and simple texture and a sophisticated atmosphere.
KUSHIME means comb line in Japanese. Fine and uneven comb lines are marked vertically and from the rim to the bottom. White color clay is placed on the comb lines, and wiped away. This process enhances the natural color of the clay. Simple but impressive stamped flowers are inlayed uniformly around the outside of the Yunomi. This technique is called INKA in Japanese. The flower centers, colored in gold, look brilliant against the simple form of the Yunomi.
Inside of the cup, linear marks made by brush are implemented. This traditional technique is called HAKEME.
The teacup rim is beautifully flared open. The curve at the mouth not only brings vivid accent to the form but also fulfills a role to enhance the tea flavor when your mouth touches the Yunomi. The gentle shape of the Yunomi creates calm.
This lovely KUSHIME INKA Yunomi will enliven the atmosphere of your daily table, creating your green moment.
