IROE means color painting and KINYOH means autumn leaves. Autumn leaves are a well-loved symbol of the season, like the SAKURA national flower of Japan is a symbol of spring. This Matcha bowl is seasonal and very elegant, with autumn leaves vividly depicted against a background of red gradients.

The contrast of the autumn leaves painted in red, gold, and green is stunning, while at the same time reminding us of the splendor of Japan's gradually changing seasons. The red color sprayed on the front of the Matcha bowl is created by an artisan blowing directly on it with a special straw, producing an exquisite gradation that cannot be expressed by a machine. The stunning shades of red, which are not uniform, create a landscape of autumn leaves with a three-dimensional effect. This Matcha bowl is brushed with gold paint. It is called KIN TATAKI. The sunlight seems to gleam through the gaps between the blooming foliage.

The mouth of this Matcha bowl is not perfectly parallel, but slightly wavy. This shape of the mouth is called YAMAMICHI. YAMAMICHI means mountain road. When drinking Matcha in this Matcha bowl, combined with the beauty of the autumn leaves seen inside, you will feel as if you are taking a walk along a picturesque mountain path in autumn in Japan.

Autumn in Japan is beautiful yet brief. This Matcha bowl captures the ever-changing hues of autumn leaves during such a short season. This charming motif is truly representative of traditional Japanese WABI SABI style. Once you prepare Matcha in this bowl, its lovely green color adds to the gracefulness of the composition, as the painting enhances the noble and rich taste of the Matcha green tea.
