KUROMAME for our BOLO are one of the most famous black soybeans grown in the middle part of Kyoto prefecture, and soybeans produced in Kyoto prefecture are known to be of premium quality. Each black soybean is carefully selected and picked by hand to ensure there is no damage. The entire process is done by hand with a great deal of time and care.

KUROMAME black soybeans are also a traditional Japanese food. They are not only tasty but also healthy and nourishing, therefore they have been used in many dishes or sweets since ancient times. KUROMAME are regarded as auspicious, and they have become an indispensable part of food culture in Japan.

BOLO is a general term for baked confections. It is one of the traditional confections coming from European countries more than 400 years ago.
