Sophisticated SETO KIRIKO Glass
Made by Manabu Saguchi

SETO KIRIKO Tea Glass features a style of glass in which two colors, blue and gold-pink, are stacked, and the pattern is expressed with a curved cut that is rare in KIRIKO Glass. The light blue and gold-pink radiance, as seen when illuminated, is absolutely captivating.

KIRIKO Glass is a general term for crafts made by cutting glass. KIRIKO Glass began in Japan in 1834, and it is said that glass cutting in Japan was started by the glass craftsmen of the Edo region.

There are luxury glass brands such as EDO KIRIKO Glass and SATSUMA KIRIKO Glass in Japan, but here, we are introducing an up-and-coming SETO KIRIKO Glass artisan. The SETO area has long been famous for its pottery, and generations of ceramic artists have thrived there. SETO KIRIKO Glass builds on this rich history, incorporating the knowledge and skills of pottery-making that have been handed down for generations.

The characteristic of SETO KIRIKO is that, unlike other KIRIKO, there is no limit to the number of colors that can be reproduced, and there are various technically difficult curved designs. The faceted glass that we are offering is based on a two-color stack of blue and gold-pink, and the design is expressed by the symmetrical, fine curves.

Manabu Saguchi is the youngest KIRIKO Glass artisan who attracts the most attention among such up-and-coming SETO KIRIKO Glass artisans. Japanese facets are usually cut sharply, but SETO KIRIKO Glass made by Manabu Saguchi is expressed by a smooth curved cut, and produces a soft ray not seen in conventional facets. Manabu Saguchi continues to release modern, new KIRIKO Glass designs, which are unique, and not typically expressed by KIRIKO.

The modern texture of SETO KIRIKO Tea Glass enhances the Japanese Tea life of the person who obtains it. The fascinating light emitted by SETO KIRIKO Tea Glass captures your heart, and its bewitching presence transforms any room into a luxurious space.

Enjoy SETO KIRIKO Tea Glass, which is unique in the world, with Japanese tea, wine or SAKE.
