Cheese OKAKI (handmade rice cracker with cheese)

This is limited edition only available in summer season.

Interior Content: 9 pieces

Our Cheese OKAKI is handmade at a rice cracker shop with more than 80 years of history. They are famous for making Cheese OKAKI and have been producing this well-loved treat for more than 40 years. The rice used for this OKAKI is 100% Japanese organic glutinous rice, which is pounded into mochi. Artisans roll out the freshly pounded mochi to make this OKAKI. The rich taste of cheese and soft taste of OKAKI pair well.

OKAKI rice cracker is one of the most popular and classic snacks in Japan and available in a wide range of quality, ranging from average quality found at the local grocery, to high quality from specialty shops such as the OKAKI sold here at Hibiki-an. It is said that OKAKI rice cracker handmade by traditional methods is the most tasty, though it requires much time and effort and can be quite expensive.

We offer Cheese OKAKI which is a modern style of OKAKI, where Japanese and Western flavors meet. Precious camembert cheese from Europe is blended with Japanese mochi and organic white soy sauce. The harmony between the rich taste of cheese and savory smell of OKAKI is precious. You will enjoy the contrast of moist cheese and crispy OKAKI.

Once you try, you are sure to fall in love with the harmony of this combination. Please enjoy the novel taste and flavor of this modern OKAKI!

No artificial additives.
