This Matcha bowl is refined and elaborate work. Various types of INKA stamps are carefully decorated inside and outside the bowl. Unique green and brown tones create a fantastic atmosphere. The contrast of glaze gives not only the INKA flowers, but also the bowl itself, a fantastic and mysterious aura. This Matcha bowl is beautiful and sublime with its balanced shape and graceful decoration.

The name HANA MISHIMA means beautiful Matcha bowl created by the MISHIMA technique. YUHSAI means beautifully and gorgeously coating with glaze and HANA means flowers or great beauty in Japanese. This Matcha bowl is created by a technique called MISHIMA. Before the shaped clay is dried, patterns are marked by stamp stick carved with flowers or another similar design. It is one of the traditional techniques of Kyo Yaki.

Various types of INKA, which means stamped flower in Japanese, are decorated inside and outside the bowl. Flower designs are boldly decorated, on the other hand, the delicate patterns are carefully and painstakingly decorated around the rim, the interior bottom, and even the base of the bowl. The combination of flower designs and delicate patterns evoke a sophisticated and noble atmosphere. To stamp INKA along a line is difficult and it is said that proficient skill and technique are required. You will be surprised by the delicate and precise craftsmanship.

This Matcha bowl has unique green and brown tones on refined yellowish beige color surface which adds depth of expression. The green and brown tones are brought by the melted glaze. INKA stamps play a role to stop the flow of glaze, so around the INKA stamps are deeply colored. This technique breathes life into the INKA flowers. The tone and contrast of the glaze gives not only the INKA flowers, but the bowl itself, a very fantastic and mysterious atmosphere.

Jihyoue Kiln is also famous for superbly managing a potter's wheel and forming techniques. The curve of the rim and the silhouette from side to bottom are quite subtle and elegant. This shape enhances the elegance of the bowl.

When drinking Matcha from this bowl, you will feel the change of the interior scene with the passage of time, as the beautiful INKA patterns appear one after another with each sip. Finally, the delicate and superb INKA flower appears on the interior bottom of the bowl, evoking joy. You will feel the Japanese traditional WABI SABI and sophisticated aura of this Matcha bowl.

Considering the beauty of this work, along with the time and effort by the artist to stamp the patterns by hand, this Matcha bowl is very reasonable in price. We are certain that this will add an extra touch of dignity and elegance to your heart.
