These are premium vegetable chips, made with 7 kinds of vegetables only grown in Japan. KIWAMI Vegetable Chips have a unique airy texture and pleasant UMAMI, delicious taste. The method of preparation brings out the original flavor of each vegetable. The texture is neither oily nor hard, but very crispy, airy and soft. Since the pure and remarkable flavors come from the original vegetables themselves, you will be able to fully enjoy the lively taste of each vegetable. The more it is chewed, the tastier it becomes.

KIWAMI is a term which represents premium quality or top class in Japan. Indeed, our KIWAMI Vegetable Chips are much airier in texture, sweeter and more savory, than the others on the market. Seven kinds of vegetables are strictly and carefully selected and procured from all over Japan.

Skillful techniques are used in the manufacturing processes. To bring unique airy texture and pleasant UMAMI delicious taste, these vegetable chips are fried with rice oil, made from Japanese domestic rice. Rice oil contains rich antioxidants that inhibit oxidation and keep the food fresh for a long time. Moreover, rice oil plays an important role in the unique airy texture, pleasant delicious taste, and health benefits.
In addition to this, to bring out the innate flavors, each vegetable is uniquely seasoned and prepared. For example, the sweet potatoes are seasoned by unrefined sugar, produced in Tanega-shima island, Kagoshima prefecture, which is famous for the origin of sugarcane, to obtain excellent sweetness. It is said that natural ingredients, like calcium, potassium and iron, contained in unrefined sugar bring out the gentle and subtle sweetness of sweet potatoes.

KIWAMI Vegetable Chips include sweet potatoes, MURASAKI-IMO purple potatoes, potatoes, RENKON lotus root, pumpkins, carrots, and gombo. All of the ingredients are 100% Japanese domestic products.

These vegetable chips are gluten-free, without any chemical additives, and no artificial colors or preservatives. So, they are not only tasty but also healthy and safe, and of course pair very well with all kinds of Japanese tea.
