This Matcha bowl is one of the most traditional and standard called KOBIKI CHAWAN. KOBIKI is coated with glaze made from clay coloring white.
First of features of this is GOHONDE, which Colorful patches of orange on surface of inside or outside. It is a traditional technique of KOBIKI glaze that adds warmth to the atmosphere of the work. It is impossible to fully control the contrasting density of GOHONDE, so that GOHONDE is so different in each work.
Unevenness of white color KOBIKI glaze coating created WABI SABI atmosphere. Brownish gray color base glaze and brown color of soil appears thought uneven KOBIKI glaze.
Third of features is horizontal undular convexoconcave, which is a pattern created in shaping by turning wheel. It is not only pleasing viewer’s eyes but also making you comfortable when you handle this Matcha Bowls. You will certainly be amazed with the comfort of touching feeling.
