This sophisticated sandglass is a 1 minute tea timer. Tea expertise requires that Japanese green tea should be brewed for a specific length of time for ideal flavor.

Sencha brewing time is 1 minute. Gyokuro is 1.5 to 2 minutes. Sencha Fukamushi is 40 seconds.

This 1 minute sandglass is useful for brewing various kinds of Japanese tea.

- To deep clean this Yunomi, to remove any stains or buildup, you can place this Yunomi in water with a little chlorine detergent for a few hours. The Yunomi will then become clear.
