Sophisticated Kyo-Yaki (Kyoto style)
Made by Kahoh Itoh
Mr. Kahoh Itoh was born in 1963. He believes that providing excellent ceramic art at a more reasonable price is important.

This glaze is called Shinsyayu and it is very difficult to stably extract this beautiful color. Even in Kyoto, it is only Kahoh Itoh who can extract this beautiful color.
It is said that in order to enjoy different kinds of excellent Japanese tea, it is better for the teacup to be white color on the inside, because green tea looks best against a white background. Though the color of this Yunomi is not white, the rich vermilion color is quite beautiful, and this beauty goes beyond the tradition of the usual white teacup.
We are certain that this sophisticated Kyo-Yaki item with unique color must enrich your green moment!

Specially packaged in a carton box.

(Kyo-Yaki)
Kyoto was the capital of Japan for a long time. Therefore outstanding technology and sophisticated art was traditionally accumulated in Kyoto. It is said that the feature of Kyo-Yaki (Kyoto style ceramic art) is more skillful and artistic than any other style.
One of the features is an excellent woodturning technique which enables the artist to make thin and beautiful finished ceramic art. Kyo-Yaki teacups are well-known for being the most thin and beautiful of Japanese teacups. To enjoy different kinds of excellent Japanese tea, it is better for the teacup to be thin. Tea in a thin ceramic teacup is known to have a better flavor.
