I decided to try Hibiki-an's Houjicha as an affordable tea to drink at night due to the low caffeine content. It turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and is now one of my personal favourites. Delightful roasted aroma with a smooth after-taste.

An easy substitute for morning coffee. Low in caffine and pairs nicely with most breakfast choices. Very plesent taste and a plesent, lasting "finish".

Recently I tried for the first time Houjicha (Bancha) which gave great satisfaction and, despite the low caffeine, is a wonderful energy-giving tea like nothing else I ever tasted. Yet another fine product from the wonderful Hibiki-an people. And of course as a bonus, ... (more)

I had never tried (or heard of!) Houjicha before buying some in a sampler from Hibiki-an. What a pleasant surprise! It is now one of my favorite iced teas. I try to drink several glasses of various iced green teas every day for the health benefits. The aroma and tas... (more)

This is the creamiest houjicha I have tasted--and I have tried 4 different varieties not including Hibiki-an. It also holds up well for a second brewing--almost as rich and creamy as the first--which is uncommon for other houjicha that I have tried in the past. My tea... (more)

This is a very tasty bancha. It is nice when you want tea later in the evening. I also tried it when I made my chai and it gave it the best flavor I have ever experienced.

I've tried so many different kinds of Houjicha from different companys. And I have to say that I liked all of them. Hibiki-an's is a very affordable, delicious tea. They're teas are always fresh. Although I tend to like Houjicha teas that contain a higher... (more)

The houjicha is absolutely wonderful. I drink houjicha each day, (and have for many years), and it's not easy to find the real thing. But yours is! The aroma is nutty and woody, and the taste matches perfectly. No bitterness or astringency which is found in other b... (more)
