(sound of exuberant and loud clapping....) First, BRAVO! Hibiki-An! This is the best Gykuro I have had, period. That I am aware of, for this amount of money, and for this quantity of tea, there is NOT any competition. Consider a competitor that I have reliably u... (more)

I just finished my order of Gyokuro Premium. I have tried gyokuro a few times before, both at home and at tea houses and this was by far the best experience I've had with gyokuro to date. This wasn't an everyday tea for me, but something special to savor du... (more)

For me, Gyokuro Premium is what I start off a good day with. Firstly, the smell that emanates from the leaves when I make the first infusion rarely fails to put a smile on my face. Also, the flavour of the tea is almost sweet in its character yet very deep with just t... (more)

I just recently bought the Gyokuro Premium and I am really impressed. It has such a smooth taste and works well with multiple brewings. I have been experimenting with multiple brewings of your Gyokuro Premium and what I have discovered is that if I brew the first two ... (more)

One word - delicious!!! Sweet and mellow, no bitterness at all, if the water temperature is right of course. I have a water dispenser pot, so for me it's not a problem. I work long night shifts and take a cup of this tea with me in a thermos. I don't drink cof... (more)

Gyokuro lacks the briskness of sencha, so may not make such an impression initially, and it seems to need fairly careful brewing to unlock the magic: low temperature as advised, a long soak (it doesn't go bitter), and I use quite a lot of leaf - more than sench... (more)

First off (because I believe this to be most important) this is the finest green tea I have ever tasted. Once you cut open the package and smell how fresh and green the tea is you'll be hooked. Also, the appearance of the leaves is stunning. They are a deep spri... (more)

An excellent choice for anyone wishing to experience premium Japanese green tea. My compliments to Hibiki-an as well. Expeditious, reliable and with their generous shipping policies Hibiki-an definitely is e-source for tea. Dr. M. Kovacevic, Chicago, IL

I am pleased to be the (apparent) first to write a review for this fine tea. I have sampled several gyokuros from various vendors and Hibiki-an offers a very fine value in their Gyokuro Premium. The flavor of a fine Gyokuro is as distinct from sencha as sencha is from b... (more)
