I have been ordering tea from Hibiki-an for quite a few months already and I am very happy with the tea quality. Been trying out most of the tea, from Gyokuro to Genmaicha Matcha iri, and found out that Sencha is my personal favourite. Not until I take a sip of Sinch... (more)

Medium to full bodied, a little astringent, refreshing with a nice bitterness. Holds up to three infusions.

My second year of Shincha. I was so looking forward to it as it was so good last year. I received the very timely package today and immediately brewed up. The aroma was magnificent and I could hardly wait for the most excellent first tea of spring. This will be a ritual... (more)

I am blown away. This is the first time I have tried Sincha and it is amazing. By far the best tea I have ever had.

I'm so pleased with this shincha. It is well balanced, with some astringency but more on the side of sweetness and freshness is just great! It is very generous also, so I take care not to put too much in my small kyusu teapot and I can do several infusions.

This is an amazing tea! I received my order this week and it is just incredible to think that a week or two ago this was harvested from tea plants on the Hibiki-an farm in Uji, Kyoto, Japan!! And it is one of the nicest flavored teas ever. I've been preparing it ... (more)

Shincha is here! Like most, I anticipated its arrival. Unfortunately for me when mine arrived I was experiencing a sinus infection which hindered my taste so I held it aside until I was well enough to experience fully this special treat. Although I am late in this ... (more)

This year's Sincha from Hibiki-an is simply superb. We started to drink it while in Japan earlier this month and have enjoyed it both hot and cold over the past two weeks. Sincha is always a treat but the 2012 crop seems (to my taste) to be especially flavorful ... (more)
