Shincha Traditional 2021 This Sencha has a very nice aroma. Its unami is rich and mellow as one would expect from a high quality Sencha, tending toward some sweetness with the Uji Koyoto astringency (bitterness) balanced nicely on the other side. For me the fla... (more)

This is the first year that I have tried Hibiki's shincha. I purchased each type. The quality of this one is excellent. Iced and hot versions are quite different, of course. Try brewing both.

Hibiki-An has never disappointed me and this was no exception. The tea was fresh, extremely bright and strong. A small tip though would be careful on brewing this like a more standard sencha, on my first attempt I made the cup too strong. I think, because this tea is so... (more)

Very well balanced and delicate with flavors chrysanthemum, straw and mysteriously sweet wind-borne blossoms next to the obviously well cared for tea leaves and buds, making for an intoxicating aroma that makes me want to picnic on the farm, so fresh and close it feels.... (more)
