| This is truly a wonderful tea! It really does capture in its effect on the tongue and in its aroma the spirit of spring. Unlike other shincha teas I have had this "traditional" style has a lovely astringent-umami effect. That is, the delicate astringency tickl... (more)

| Just wonderful tea. Really. I just wish the bag was resealable -- I feel rushed to drink it all before it loses the smell / flavor!

| The leaves exhibit a subtly fresh aroma with a hint of something more special than your average sencha. That hint carries into the brew itself - I can't quite describe what it is, just that it perks my taste buds and that I enjoy it. A great tea to get an idea of w... (more)

| This offering is quite different from the fukamushi sencha I usually drink. It absolutely has an aroma that reminds me of the Uji region of Kyoto and is refreshingly astringent. Highly reccomended!
