This is outstanding tea by any measure. Extremely fragrant, surprisingly complex, somewhat creamy and very well balanced. In short, delicious. Importantly, this tea is very forgiving when it comes to brewing - it is really difficult to ruin the taste.

Excellent! The best houjicha I've ever had--sweet and nutty, it's especially comforting now that the weather is getting cooler (try adding just a sliver of fresh ginger for another dimension of enjoyment). I get three nice infusions brewing at the minimum time... (more)

I love the aroma of the tea leaves and tea. It's flavor is slightly smoky with a nutty taste. The color of the tea is a deep reddish brown yet it still is a green tea. Although I have had many of the other teas available from Atsushi Yasui, Because of it's low... (more)

I ordered this tea without being familiar with it and I was pleasantly surprised. I find it has a nutty taste and I enjoy it in the early afternoon. It is relaxing and low in caffeine. Enjoy it very much.
