Gyokuro Karigane is officially my favorite tea. I love the mellow and unique flavor. Smelling the aroma is equally as pleasant as drinking the tea itself. It is worth trying. It is clear that the folks at Hibiki-An put much care and attention into their tea.

Gyokuro Karigane is a hidden treasure. Not even my Japanese friends know about it and so, I like to surprise them with it as a gift. It is a very regular way to enjoy the luxury of Gyokuro on a daily basis. This comes at the risk of being spoiled by high standards. The ... (more)

The more I drank this tea, the more I came to understand and appreciate it. At first it seemed simple and clean. Over time it became more and more subtle. I loved it cold-brewed, as well as hot. Fairly slight differences in temperature or the amount of tea turned out to... (more)
