Japanese traditional and popular flowers are decorated on this natural, uniquely textured teacup. Flower stamps, colored in white, bloom on the natural clay earthenware. A traditional stamping technique is used on this Yunomi teacup, but this design creates a modern atmosphere.

HANA means flower, and INKA of this name means stamped flower in Japanese. INKA flower stamps, which are colored in white, are decorated outside the cup, in varying sizes, as though you are immersed in a garden of flowers. Different kinds of flowers are stamped, such as SAKURA cherry blossom, KIKU chrysanthemum, NADESHIKO dianthus, and dahlia flowers. These four types of flowers are well harmonized on this Yunomi cup.

The inside of this teacup features linear marks made by brush. This traditional technique is called HAKEME. The dynamic design of brush marks accents the interior of the cup.

The form of this Yunomi is slightly flared open toward the rim. The sturdy form on the bottom gives an impression of strength, but the curved line toward the rim reminds us of geniality.

The boldly designed base is a unique feature of this Yunomi. Uneven comb lines are marked vertically around the base, and this design adds not only accent to the cup but also a lively atmosphere.

Different types of flowers are stamped in a lively manner. Their varying sizes create a rhythmic pattern. Only white glaze is used to decorate the flowers, adding to the graceful atmosphere. With this special Yunomi, you may find yourself in a garden, and discover a new flower each time you enjoy a cup of Japanese green tea.
