Brewed infusion color of this tea is pure yellow green. This is especially the case with higher grade traditional Sencha (Uji/Kyoto style). The hand-picked tea is translucent yet rich and cloudy, with a smooth and mellow flavor and delicately astringent aroma.

This tea is grown at the birth place of Uji tea. The tea grown here was presented to the Japanese Emperors for many years.
The tea jar in the picture was used to bestow tea leaves harvested in Uji to the SHOGUN from 1623 until 1867.
