I received this bowl in 4 days!! Amazingly quick shipping to San Francisco, California. All that aside - it was beautifully packaged in a fine wooden box. As soon as I touched the bowl, I knew it was special. It had a warmth that none of my other bowls have (I have 4 other lovely bowls for matcha) and after soaking in warm water for a couple of minutes it seemed to truly come to life. It is a joy to hold with both hands when filled with hot Shincha Matcha (which I also purchased from Hibiki-an). This was my first purchase from Hibiki-an, and I know it will not be my last.
For the price, I highly recommend this bowl. Yes, one could spend $1,500 for a bowl, but for $150 this is a superb step up to a more quality bowl.
