WOW I just received my first shipment of 2012 shincha. The farmers' shincha is incredible. I made mine with a little cooler water (70 C) and slightly longer steeping time...I also added more leaves than the normal amount. The result was a tea so beautiful and elegant with a texture so rich you could almost chew it! It was like velvet - I can't explain it any other way. The stems in the tea reminded me of the hard work that the farmers put into this tea. That warmed my heart! Please enjoy this wonderful 2012 shincha!
