Review:
I have tasted a lot of Genmaicha Matcha-iri teas before. This one surpasses all of them. Upon observing the color of the spent tea after brewing one of these lesser Genmaichas it is apparent that the quality of the leaves used is suspect. Hibiki-an use wonderful quality leaves in their Genmaicha, the leaves look like they were picked just yesterday. A vibrant green they are, not a drab color at all. And the flavor is perfect. The balance of sweet roasted rice flavors is well balanced with the astringency of the tea. The color of the liquor is most pleasing to they eye.
Hibiki-an has amazed me with the quality of not only their product, but the quality of their service. I am on the path to becoming a loyal customer.
