This cup has clearly been crafted with great love and care. The attention to symmetry and detail leaves an impression of perfection, while upon closer examination the cup has a wonderful hand-made feel. It is warm to the touch, both comfortable in the hand and to the lip, and perfectly shows off the flavor of fine sencha--although I haven't tested the tea in porcelain and this cup side by side. While keeping a warm and cheerful quality the cup also has a sense of refined modern elegance. I could imagine getting five of these as a set to serve sencha to guests. It's really lovely.
