| As someone who drinks green tea every single day, I have tried my fair share of senchas, but the Shincha AOTE is in a league of its own.
The standout feature of this tea is the absolute freshness. The second you open the bag, the aroma fills the room like a crisp, spr... (more)

| I’ve been ordering from Hibiki-an since 2013 and every tea I’ve tasted has been excellent. I lived in Japan for four years mukashibanashi (long time ago) and drinking green tea is very Natsukashii (nostalgic). I’ve also ordered tea canisters, snacks, etc. and every prod... (more)

| I just placed my pre-order for the 2024 teas. I have been enjoying all of Hibiki-An
teas for many years, particularly their Organic teas and the Aote shincha. I've found quality and taste of all the tea is outstanding. Their service and shipping is consistently ex... (more)

| Absolutely delicious! This shincha does have a very mellow and sweet taste with less astringency than I am used to. The beautiful green colour is calming and makes for a fantastic tea time.

| Hibiki-An always gives us a quality tea, however, this one is by far the best I have had. This blend of three cultivars was the perfect harmony to create a tea that is not only mellow and sweet, but warming to the soul. The sweetness lingers on the tongue after its been... (more)

| This is an excellent Shincha, very fresh with perfect balance of sweet grass and stringent undertone, very nice in the early afternoon, and nicely paired with a Japanese sweet treat, small rice cookie or sweet potato chip. Thank you Hibiki-an for another wonderful tea.

| Sencha Aote is delicious. The tea is much greener than other senchas. The first brew has a saltiness / mineral quality to it. A favourite.

| A very special green tea. It has a unique personality. Refreshing, slightly bitter, a little mellow taste and earthy fragrance. Light, vivid green color, a taste of bitterness that last for a while. A unique sincha
personality.

| The dry leaves have a rather strong umami fragrance, reminding me of fresh cut grass. Once infused, I found that the taste is more toward the sweetness, the umami being stronger than the shibuyi (bitterness). I infuse most of my senchas and shinchas for 30-45 seconds on... (more)
