This "Houjicha Karigane" tastes to me like a very Light Roast Coffee, with notes of Roasted Chestnuts and a slightly Bitter Aftertaste reminiscent of Espresso. Served with milk and sugar as a Substitute to a real Latte it can even fool real Coffee lovers. ... (more)

I've compared this houjicha karigane against other houjichas and it has the richest and most delicious flavor. Not to mention the value here is half the price compared to the website I had been buying from previously. I highly highly recommend this tea.

I enjoy Houjicha and find this karigane is a good addition to the standard bancha at a reasonable price.
