The characteristics of glaze are well described on this teacup. The pale sky blue color glaze coated on the outside of the RYOH teacup contrasts well with the transparent glaze inside the teacup. AJISAI hydrangea flower colored in strong blue is painted inside the cup. The scraping pattern outside the teacup also adds accent not only to the glaze but also to the teacup itself.

RYOH of this name means cool in Japanese. As the name indicates, this teacup evokes a feeling of coolness. The pale sky blue color glaze is gracefully coated on the outside of the teacup. Not only the glaze but also Shohoh’s techniques create the graceful aura of this teacup. The teacup is elaborately scraped away, and the scraped lines create varying shades of glazing colors. The contrast between strong and light sky blue color is very graceful. The very smooth and glossy surface of the KOHCHI technique also adds an indescribable noble and graceful atmosphere.

AJISAI hydrangea flower is decorated inside the teacup. Petals and leaves are painted in a single color but in various tones. This flower blooms during the rainy season, so it is associated with the cool and rainy atmosphere. Adding to that, the color combination between the inside and the outside of the teacup adds to the cool atmosphere even more. The strong blue color hydrangea flower beautifully reflects the exterior of the teacup.

The simple yet elaborate technique of the RYOH teacup creates not only the cool atmosphere but also supreme elegance. Not only the color variation but also AJISAI hydrangea flower evokes coolness. The color is even more beautiful when paired with the color of green tea. It is a delight for the eyes and will certainly enhance your green moment.
