To enjoy Matcha with full flavor and the correct frothy consistency without lumps, you need the proper tea ware made specifically for traditional Matcha preparation. This Starter Set is the minimum set including only the essential tea ware you need to make a perfect bowl of Matcha. This set is not only reasonably priced, but also comprised of high quality and valuable standard essential tea ware, fine enough for tea connoisseurs.

This Starter Set includes a Matcha Bowl (Matcha Chawan), Bamboo Whisk (Chasen) with 120 bristles, and Matcha Spoon (Chashaku). We chose BEEDORO handcrafted Matcha Bowl for this Starter Set. It is the most standard shape and size, so that it is also perfect for beginners. The Bamboo Whisk has 120 bristles, and therefore can make a very nice lather.
If you would like to add other important tea ware, we suggest our Whisk Keeper (Kusenaoshi) and Matcha Sifter. Both are useful though not essential.
