Message from Atsushi Yasui, Hibiki-an Owner

About 1200 years ago in Japan, green tea was highly valued and treasured as precious medicine. With the advent of new harvesting and processing techniques, it soon became the country's most popular beverage. Today, Japanese green tea's health benefits are widely known not only in Japan, but around the world.

Tea leaves and Matcha grown in Uji, Kyoto have played an important role in building traditional Japanese tea culture. Japanese tea culture sustained by Uji tea made an enormous impact on Japanese architectural style, habits, costume and cuisine, porcelain, lacquer, painting, and literature.

We, at Japanese Green Tea Hibiki-an, provide you with genuine Japanese green tea in convenient styles and prices for your every need.
